F-1 STUDENT
INITIAL APPLICANT


An F-1 initial applicant is a prospective student who is outside of the USA and applies for an F-1 visa at an embassy in their home country or another country before entering the USA.

Anybody who wants or needs to improve their English can study English. Students can choose to take private classes or enroll in a part time semi-intensive course or a full time intensive course. International students who have or require the F-1 Visa (F Status) must enroll in an intensive English course.
After you have made the decision to study English in the USA, the first step is to choose the location in the USA that is best for you. Choose a location, or a few locations, that  you like and contact several of the top rated English schools to begin making your decision. Make sure to check that the school is accredited and has a good reputation. Take your time and ask a lot of questions before making a decision.
Temporary visitors who wish to participate in a short part time recreational course that is incidental to their purpose for visiting the United States may do so without an F-1 Visa.
