You made the right decision and decided to visit Miami. Your decision was made because of the easy access to international and domestic flights, the warm sunny weather, the nonstop nightlife, the shopping, the beautiful beaches and people. We get it! It’s a great place to visit, and it’s also a fantastic place to study English. So why not enroll in an intensive English course in Miami and make the most of your trip?
Why should I study English in Miami?
The answer is obvious to us, or what we call a “no-brainer,” but let me try to make it even more clear.
For Work or University
The first and most obvious answer is that, like it or not, English is necessary for work and/or school. In a few weeks or months you will be returning home and probably back to school or work. These days English is used in most professions and is required by many companies and jobs. So, by enrolling in an English course you are increasing your chances of getting a bonus or a promotion when you return to your country. If you are in school, college or university, chances are improving your English will help make your life easier.
For Travel
This is probably not your first time traveling overseas, but if it is, you will soon realize that knowing English will allow you to communicate with many people from around the world. By enrolling in an English course while you are in Miami you will gain the skills needed to interact with the new friends, fellow tourists, and other people you meet along your way, and make it much more productive and meaningful!
To Make Friends & Have Fun!
That’s right, you will have a better experience in Miami. If you are traveling alone or coming with a small group you can double, or even triple, your fun by joining an English course. Why? Because you will meet new people who are in Miami for the same reason. Most students at Language On are just like you! Students come to us from around the world to improve their English, while having fun, exploring Miami, making new friends, and taking a break from their lives back home.
At Language On, students of all ages can feel comfortable and thrive as we have a family, yet professional, vibe which lends itself well to students like you. If you are worrying about not making friends, don’t. You are likely to find yourself at a home-cooked dinner in one of your classmates apartments one night and the next night heading out on the town hoping to wake up in time for your English class.
Of course, the next day you wake up on time and stop to grab a quick coffee and bagel on your way to class. Why? Because that’s where your friends will be, and plus you promised them that you wouldn’t miss class the next day.
For Self Improvement
I don’t think this really needs explaining, but here it goes. There are seven days in a week and you can’t spend all of your days lying on the beach and all of your nights doing what people do in Miami for long without feeling just a little guilty. So, the answer becomes clear again: enroll in an English course and you won’t feel so guilty about all the fun you are having.

Where should I study English in Miami?
Language On Schools, of course, but let me explain myself a little more.
Why Language On Schools?
The answer really is, why not? There are many English schools in Miami that you can choose from, but Language On is different. At Language On we have small group classes with native speaking teachers. Our classes are small enough that you get individual attention from the teacher, but big enough that you can interact with students from other countries all while feeling safe and confident with your English skills.
That’s not to say that we won’t challenge you because we will. Each student is pushed to learn and encouraged when feeling down. Learning a language is tough and we understand that. Our seven level Intensive English Program is called English Unlimited.
We use an integrated approach so each class is taught in a dynamic and creative style allowing students to improve their reading, writing, listening, speaking, and pronunciation skills simultaneously. The English Unlimited Intensive English course accommodates all levels from A1 to C2, which includes a TOEFL iBT preparation course as the final level. Language On Schools has two campuses in Miami, giving students more choices and flexibility.
You can study in our Miami Beach school or our school in Miami in the heart of the financial district, known as “Brickell.” So the question becomes, do you like city life or beach life?

What is the schedule and how can I start?
As we say, “starting is easy but saying goodbye is always hard.” We have rolling admissions so students can begin their English course any Monday. The schedule for our Semi-Intensive English Course are as follows:

But we don’t stop there. We offer extra classes and activities every week. Students and teachers partake in a variety of extra activities throughout the week. A day in the life of a student
Monica, 27, Bologna, Italy
Today I woke up at 7 am. Since America is 6 hours behind, my body is ok with waking up at this hour because it’s 1 pm in my hometown. I got ready for school, I stopped at Paul Bakery on the way to school and had a ham and cheese croissant; no coffee because they prepare some at my school every morning. I went to class from 9-1245 pm, with a small break in-between. Sitting in class for 3.75 hours can sound tiring, but the teacher makes it fun and interesting and we laugh a lot. Since it’s Thursday, we had the Business English class from 1-2pm, where we learned typical American business etiquette. After that I went home and had lunch. Then I went to the beach to swim and sunbathe. Then I went home and prepared dinner, and after that I took a nap. Then, I got ready to go out that night and since I’m taking the English Unlimited Semi-intensive course, there’s no class on Friday. Overall, studying while on vacation isn’t really a lot of work. I study in the morning, meet new students from different countries, practice speaking English which gives me the confidence to speak with natives outside of class in order to meet more people, and I’m connected to a school that helps me with anything I need.

Wow, what can I say to give this visit to the states justice? I’ll start by telling the truth. I signed up for the Semi-Intensive English course because I wanted to better my English for work related reasons. It also helps that I can practice what I’ve learned outside of the class. I also do all the free activities like Accent Reduction and Business English class, and the social lunch Language On offers on Wednesdays. After class, I have lunch somewhere on Lincoln Road, if I haven’t brought my lunch to the school that day. I usually walk around the shops, go to the beach, or do an activity. At night, I usually go have drinks or dinner with friends. South Beach is pretty expensive, but you can find plenty of cheap places to eat. I usually don’t go out during the week too much, but on the weekends, YES! I’ve made a good choice coming study in an English program in Miami.
